Tired of .HEIC files? If you have a relatively new iPhone, you’re likely taking photos in that format. The benefits should be great (~50% less file size), but when I airdrop photos from my phone to Mac, I end up with a .HEIC file that I have to convert to something useable for the web. I have a great little app “HEIC Converter”, but I’d rather not have to add that extra step in the process.
If you want to stop that extra step, make this change on your phone:
Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible (as of iOS 16)
