ThoughtTrack Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 1, 2026

ThoughtTrack is a private, on-device journaling and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
companion app for iOS. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your
information when you use it.

The short version

Everything you write in ThoughtTrack — your Thought Records, emotions, and reflections —
is stored only on your device. We (Mighty Capable) never see it, collect it, or have access
to it. There are no accounts, no servers that store your entries, and no analytics or
advertising trackers reading what you write.

What information ThoughtTrack stores

ThoughtTrack stores the information you enter while completing a Thought Record,
including:

  • The situation you describe
  • The emotions you select and their intensity ratings, before and after
  • Your thoughts, evidence, and reflections written at each step
  • Timestamps for when each record was created and completed

This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device data
storage (SwiftData). It is not transmitted to Mighty Capable or to any third party.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t require or offer account creation or sign-in.
  • We don’t run a server that stores or processes your entries.
  • We don’t use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers.
  • We don’t sell or share your data — because we never have access to it in the first place.

iCloud sync (if and when available)

ThoughtTrack may, in a future version, offer optional sync between your own devices
using Apple’s iCloud. If enabled, your data would sync directly through your personal
iCloud account, governed by Apple’s iCloud privacy practices. It would still never pass
through, or become accessible to, Mighty Capable’s systems. You would be able to turn
this off at any time.

Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, ThoughtTrack schedules a local notification on your
device using Apple’s notification system. No reminder data is sent anywhere — the
schedule lives entirely on your device.

Exporting and deleting your data

You are always in control of your own data:

  • Export: From Settings, you can export all of your Thought Records
as a JSON file, which you can save, email, or share (for example, with a therapist)
    using Apple’s standard Share Sheet.
  • Delete: From Settings, you can permanently delete all of your data
from the app at any time. This action cannot be undone.

Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data from your device.

Children’s privacy

ThoughtTrack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
any information from children, consistent with the fact that we do not collect any
personal information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we introduce optional iCloud sync — we will
update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will also be
reflected in the in-app disclaimer.
